• Calendar FAQs
Will this change the way my calendar looks?
No. We’ve already converted your site’s calendar although you may not notice it right away. By default your site’s new calendar will continue to look almost identical to the old one so visitors to your site shouldn’t notice any changes.

Will this change the way I add and edit events?
Yes. We’ve changed the look of the windows where you edit events but we think you’ll still find the tools and options very familiar. We’ve expanded the list of events to make them easier to find and read. You’ll also find that we’ve added places for you to insert optional details about your events like time, location and contact person. Plus, you can now insert links, pictures and formatting in your event description.

I don’t see the new options you’re mentioning when I edit an event.
Click the blue arrow next to Event Details to see the additional options. To help you enter events quickly, without worrying about options you don’t need, the optional event details are hidden when you first open an event. They are never more a mouse-click away though.

Can I edit recurring events now?
Yes, we’re excited to offer you to opportunity to edit recurring events. Simply click on the edit icon next to one of the events that is in a recurring event series and make your changes. Then check the “Apply to all events in this recurring group” box directly above the Save button.

You can also update individual events within a series of recurring events by editing the event but not checking the “Apply to all events …” box.

How do I switch to the new calendar views?
1. Click the edit icon on the calendar you want to change.
2. Click on the Calendar Settings tab in the top right corner of the editing window.
3. In the Calendar View section, use the drop down box to pick the view you want.
4. Click the Save button.

What’s the difference between a month focus and a day focus calendar?
The Month Focus calendar is very similar to calendars that you’re used to seeing. It’s great for giving you an overview of an entire month. The downside to the Month Focus calendar is that the more events you have on an individual day the more the calendar has to stretch to accommodate those events. To solve that problem we created the Day Focus calendar. It displays a month’s worth of events in a list format, separated by days. You’ll find this calendar especially useful if you have many events on the same day.
